The thrill of the rushing sound as I step onto my launch pad This one is the Big One In the Pilot's seat of my private helicopter ~ climb aboard! and make yourself at home My body feels so strange As our vessel leaves the ground Take a look around From up here the buildings look so small and you can't see the people at all I've never met someone who made me quite so curious as you the things you say are so astute As the world falls down We have a private seat to watch it from Oh, I never want to come back down! This may be the end where we fly into the sunset And if we never land I don't mind if I can die holding your hand My body feels so strange as our vessels leave the ground take a look around from up here our bodies look so small from up here everything looks so small as the world falls down as the world falls down

You and I were riding across the sky when we decided to try to build a house on the sun You and I were seeing eye to eye when I confided that I had come undone but we can still have fun Well tell me what do you want, do you want, baby I want to put you on, put you on, baby I want to turn you up, turn you up loudly I want to see your gods Me and you were breaking animals out of the zoo when we realized that all the blues are true together we grew, and the cockatoos looked like they knew and when I slept I dreamt of hunting caribou and I was deeply moved Tell me where do you go, do you go lately? And can I come with you, come with you, baby Show me what you know, what you know, baby This time we'll take it slow, take it slow You and me were meandering towards the sea when we saw what we had seen many times before we were green, and the wind rattled through the trees and years and years of dreams washed up on the seashore who could ask for more? Tell me what do you want, do you want I want to put you on, put you on I want to turn you up, turn you up I want to see your gods, see your gods Tell me what do you want, do you want I want come with you, come with you I want to turn you up, turn you up I want to see your gods, see your gods You and I were riding across the sky When we decided to try to build a house on the sun to build a house on the sun

Green Tea 03:51
sitting on the back porch of a bus station in berlington sipping green tea as the hours fly by killing time with my girl and guitar the sun sets in the blink of an eye what to do? lost my job that I had at the circus today and I ain't got nowhere to go so as night falls I relax and kick it back might as well go with the flow look around and have a drink got nothing but time to sit and think sliding on fruit rinds towards the back of my mind wondering what I'll find there staring at skies that lie behind my eyes can't decide if I'm happy or scared wondering about the nature of the universe and just why I'm in it there's a DJ looking down from a hole in the sky and damn does he know how to spin it! what to do? life goes on just like it always has and it shows no signs of stopping with me it's the little moments that matter in the end finding peace in a cup of green tea

C'est La Vie 02:35
C'EST LA VIE (THAT'S LIFE) B C D C Are you scared, lad? Is it more than you can handle just to be alive and breathing, would you like to change the channel? Are you frightened, when you step outside your door? It's a freakish horror-show out there, you never can be sure G F Bb Are you tired out? Are you thin and weak and weary? G F B Your figure's bent your eyes are bleary, wish you could just lay down and die B C D C Are you scared, lass? By the certainty of death by his cold and icy hand that takes your spirit from your flesh G A B E D C B Well that's life, baby, c'est la vie We all get it sometime, in the meantime we are free Well that's life, baby, c'est la vie Here and then it's gone, what will be will be (E D C B C B G A) B C D C Are you fed up, with the hand that you were dealt? Wish you could be somebody else? You could choose at any time Are you frightened, by the possibilities? Is your spirit ill at ease, are you scared to make a move? Can't believe it, wonder what does it all mean? Can't believe the things I've seen, who is writing this weird dream? Can't believe it, that life could be so cruel? Look in the mirror – you're the fool, but the punchline is lost amidst the noise That's life, baby, c'est la vie enjoy it while it lasts, you don't know where the end could be Well that's life, baby, c'est la vie here and then it's gone, what will be will be que sera sera, what will be will be We all get it sometime, in the meantime we are free

Radical Dude 04:06
LAST WORD: RADICAL DUDE You’re a Radical Dude, but you can’t see what’s in front of you You’re views are too skewed, and I can't believe that you would do the things you do, you are blind and you're a fool You're a Radical Dude, your beliefs they have stunted you You're manners are crude, and it's easy to see that you haven't learned from what you do, you are blind to what is true Oh all your views are so radical, but the look in your eyes is fanatical And it’s chilling me... Oh all your views are so radical, but the results that they yield are irrational And you're losing me... You're a Radical Dude, but your logic has come unglued your choices have proved, that you're in a sadistic mood You think you can pull something over on me, after all that we've been through You're a Radical Dude, but you can't see what's in front of you Your views are too skewed, and I can't believe that you would do the things you do, you are blind and you're a fool

Now things are different than they were before we came Now we have realized this is a different game we are playing Call me yours and I won't complain Call me yours and I won't complain Now we can see that we can work together as one We don't need anguish we can dance beneath the sun Call me yours and I won't complain Call me yours and I won't complain Now we've reached a mastery of all things that are fine Now we can come closer to walking with the divine Call me yours and I won't complain Call me yours and I won't complain

Winter Psalm 04:08
Winter glow & country road, my eyes shine with reflections of the snow Ice below makes me slide slide with my broken heart to and fro Summer days & autumn flings lead me to long nights of winter dreams Give me some time to consider things that have gone by too quickly Years go by and seasons change we're not getting older we're just getting strange Are you more surprised at who we've become or how we've stayed the same? Look at what we had my eyes still shine I know I want something that isn't mine Remember when it was easier to blur the lines Remember when we played all day, whatever happens I'll remember you that way Days drift on and on, but my memories still do what I say Busy day, forgot to call all the chatter doesn't matter much at all Busy summer months are so full Maybe I'll catch you this fall Look at what we had my eyes still shine I know I want something that isn't mine Remember when it was easier to blur the lines Winter glow & country road, my eyes shine with reflections of the snow Ice below makes me slide slide with my broken heart to and fro Summer days & autumn flings lead me to long nights of winter dreams Give me some time to consider things that have gone by too quickly Give me some time to consider things Give me some time to consider things that have gone by too quickly

about

This album represents the cream of the crop, the songs that have lasted through my various attempts to write a coherent rock opera. Set in the pre-apocalypse, these songs explore various human responses to the end of the world, the emotions that come when it feels like everything is falling apart.

This collection of songs comes from two different rock bands no longer in existence, along with a few of my own basement projects. Salvage what you've got and throw it together. "Wasteland Salvage Co." is more than just a catchy title, it's a strategy for life. After the apocalypse we will all have to remember how to use all parts of the buffalo.
